The Christ In Youth services, including (without limitation) our websites, mobile applications (such as the Follow Through App), other interactive properties through which the services are delivered, and events that you attend on location (collectively, the "Services"), are owned, operated, and distributed by Christ In Youth, Inc. (referred to in this Privacy Notice as "CIY," "Christ In Youth" or "we" and through similar words such as "us," "our," etc.), a nonprofit religious organization. This Privacy Policy outlines the personal information that Christ In Youth may collect, how Christ In Youth uses and safeguards that information, and with whom we may share it.

BY USING OR ACCESSING OUR SERVICES IN ANY MANNER, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU ACCEPT THE PRACTICES AND POLICIES OUTLINED IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY, AND THAT WE WILL COLLECT, USE, AND SHARE YOUR INFORMATION AS DESCRIBED HEREIN. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THIS PRIVACY POLICY, YOU MAY NOT USE THE SERVICES. IF YOU ARE SIGNING UP FOR THE SERVICES ON BEHALF OF SOMEONE ELSE (SUCH AS YOUR CHILD OR ANOTHER MINOR) OR AN ENTITY (SUCH AS YOUR EMPLOYER), YOU REPRESENT THAT YOU ARE AUTHORIZED BY SUCH INDIVIDUAL OR ENTITY TO ACCEPT THIS PRIVACY POLICY ON SUCH INDIVIDUAL'S OR ENTITY'S BEHALF.

The Follow Through App is a discipleship platform provided by Christ In Youth. It collects basic identifying information to support mentoring relationships and track progress through faith development steps. Journal entries are private and accessible only to the selected mentor. User progress is visible to the church identified by the student and to CIY for the purpose of improving discipleship outcomes.

1. WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU?

Personal information (also commonly known as "personally identifiable information" (PII) or "personal data") is information that can be used to identify you or any other individual to whom the information may relate.

Personal Information You Provide

The personal information that we collect directly from those registering for or engaging with the Services, or we may collect from individuals registering minors for the services about the minors attending events, includes the following categories, where such collection is permitted by law:

• Name and contact information (e.g., address, phone number, email, fax)
• Account information (e.g., login credentials, passwords)
• Information collected in the Follow Through App: first name, last name, date of birth, email address and/or phone number, and optional profile picture. Users may also input journal entries and make progress through discipleship steps. This progress is recorded and associated with the user profile.
• Other information that may be exchanged in the course of engaging with the Services

2. HOW DO WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy, Christ In Youth uses the above-described categories of personal information in several ways. Unless otherwise stated specifically, the above information may be used for any of the following purposes:

• Administering the Services to you.
• Creating and managing your account or other user profiles.
• Responding to your requests.
• Fulfilling the specific purpose for which specific information was provided.
• Providing information to you about the Services or products.
• Notifying you about changes to this Privacy Policy or our Terms of Use.
• Distributing communications relevant to your use of the Services.
• Supporting the operation of the Services.
• Allowing you to participate in surveys or provide testimonials.
• Sending you Christ In Youth solicitations.
• Improving the Services and websites.
• Access to third-party services' accounts.
• Protecting the rights of Christ In Youth, our clients, or others.
• In the Follow Through App, student progress and activity within the app are visible to their assigned mentor and to the church selected by the student as their home church, as well as to CIY.
• Journal entries shared by a student are only accessible to the connected mentor.

3. HOW DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We may provide personal information to:

• Our affiliates and related companies.
• Third-party vendors or service providers.
• Business partners, contractors, channel partners.
• Integrated third-party applications.
• Government agencies or other parties in response to legal processes.

4. MOBILE APP TRACKING DISCLOSURE

While the Follow Through App does not use browser-based cookies, it may collect device and usage data using mobile analytics tools. This information may include session length, screen interactions, device type, and general usage patterns.

5. HOW LONG DO WE RETAIN YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Christ In Youth will retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy consistent with our internal policies and procedures.

6. CHOICES ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Users of the Follow Through App may request access to, corrections of, or deletion of their data by contacting followthrough@ciy.com or using the app's built-in support request feature.

7. STATE PRIVACY RIGHTS AND ADDITIONAL DISCLOSURES

While Christ In Youth is not subject to state data protection laws that provide for individual rights, we respect your personal information and you may contact us with any particular request regarding your personal information.

8. NOTICE TO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS

California residents are entitled to request a copy of any 3rd parties that their personal information was disclosed to in the last 12 months and the types of personal information disclosed. Requests for this information can be sent to: followthrough@ciy.com.

9. INTERNAL DATA TRANSFER

For individuals located outside the US, please note that Christ In Youth is based in the US. Christ In Youth does not market to or solicit customers from outside the US via this website.

10. INFORMATION SECURITY AND USER RESPONSIBILITY

We employ industry-standard security measures designed to protect the security of all information submitted through the Services.

11. EXTERNAL LINKS

The Services may contain links to other websites maintained by third parties. Each linked site maintains its own independent privacy and data collection policies and procedures.

12. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The Follow Through App is not intended for children under the age of 13 without verified parental consent. To comply with applicable laws such as the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the parent or legal guardian must provide consent during the account creation process.

13. SMS AND TEXTING

Christ in Youth collects personal information from you when you interact with our services. We use this information to provide, maintain, and improve our services, process transactions, communicate with you, and comply with legal obligations.
